AFLW statement: Match Review, round six

The AFL wishes to advise the Match Review of the NAB AFLW Round Six matches has been completed.
 
Five charges were laid:
 
Aasta O’Connor, Geelong Cats, has been charged with Striking Vivien Saad, North Melbourne, during the fourth quarter of the match between the Geelong Cats and North Melbourne played at GMHBA Stadium on Friday, March 13.
 
In summary she has accepted a $700 fine with an early plea.
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was classified as intentional conduct with low impact and body contact. The incident was classified as a $1,100 sanction as a third offence.


Emily Bates, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with Rough Conduct against Lauren Butler, Collingwood, during the fourth quarter of the match between the Brisbane Lions and Collingwood played at Hickey Park on Saturday, March 14.
 
In summary she has accepted a $400 fine with an early plea.
 
Based on the available evidence, the incident was classified as intentional conduct with low impact and body contact. The incident was classified as a $700 sanction as a second offence. 


Madison Prespakis, Carlton, has been charged with Rough Conduct against Aliesha Newman, Melbourne, during the first quarter of the match between Melbourne and Carlton, played at TIO Traeger Park on Saturday, March 14.

Based on the available evidence, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact and high contact. The incident was classified as a $400 sanction. 
 
 
Sabreena Duffy, Fremantle, has been charged with Striking Kim Rennie, Western Bulldogs, during the third quarter of the match between the Western Bulldogs and Fremantle, played at VU Whitten Oval on Sunday, March 15.
