COLLINGWOOD's rise up the ladder in 2020 has been reflected with the Magpies' five selections in the 2020 AFLW All-Australian squad of 40, the most of any club.
Midfield trio Jaimee Lambert, Brianna Davey and Britt Bonnici, ruck Sharni Layton and key defender Stacey Livingstone are Collingwood's representatives in the squad.
Fremantle, Melbourne, North Melbourne and Carlton all qualified for preliminary finals before the season was called off, and all four sides each have four players named.
All 14 clubs have players involved, with Olivia Purcell (Geelong), Monique Conti (Richmond) and Dana Hooker (West Coast) their sides' sole nominees.
Three first-year players – Jade Pregelj, Georgia Patrikios and the AFLW's leading goalkicker Caitlin Greiser – are all members of the squad.
A final All-Australian team of 21 – as well as a captain and vice-captain – will be announced at the W Awards, with details yet to be confirmed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
If selected, Emma Kearney and Karen Paxman will become the only players to feature in all four All-Australian sides since the competition's beginnings.
