2020 in a nutshell: The Saints produced a season to build foundations on in their inaugural AFLW campaign. The four joint winners of the best and fairest were all first-year AFLW players, including key forward Caitlin Greiser who kicked the Saints to their maiden win over Melbourne in round three. While they finished with a 2-4 ledger, the Saints were competitive in most games including a thrilling one-point loss to the unbeaten Fremantle.

Circle it: The round three clash with Melbourne will pit Saints recruit Bianca Jakobsson against her former side for the first time. 

Player to watch: Cult hero Caitlin Greiser, known as the 'G-Train', bagged 10 goals from six games in her debut AFLW season. She is eyeing more improvement again this year with a strong fitness base.

Best Rising Star chance: Tyanna Smith

2021 prediction: The Saints have seen a sizeable turnover of players ahead of this season, but it shouldn't stop them contending for finals. The youngsters who showed so much promise in their debut season now have awareness of what's required at the level and the addition of young draftee Tyanna Smith and tall Bianca Jakobsson with strengthen their case. Three games in Victoria to start the season will provide a clear picture on where the Saints sit in the pecking order of the competition.
