West Coast has its first ever goal in the AFLW thanks to star recruit Dana Hooker

2020 in a nutshell: The Eagles struggled to hit the scoreboard and won just one game in their inaugural AFLW season, finishing bottom of Conference B. They averaged just 1.8 goals a game and had difficulty retaining possession in their first season as a group. Midfield pair Emma Swanson and Dana Hooker were pillars and a four-point win in round four was reward for effort in a trying campaign.

2021 FIXTURE Blues, Magpies return to kick off new-look season

Circle it: Former Bulldog Aisling McCarthy shapes as a key recruit after the Eagles traded their pick No.16 priority selection to bolster their midfield. She will take on her former club in round seven.

Player to watch: Irish youngster Niamh Kelly has made the wing her own, but the Eagles hope she can develop into an inside midfielder and provide valuable support to Hooker and Swanson. With speed and courage, she has another level to go to.

Best Rising Star chance: Isabella Lewis

2021 prediction: In their second season and with a new coach, the Eagles can't expect a sharp spike in 2021. They should be more consistent, however, and able to get a foothold in games. Improvement from young players and better skills across the board will be the measure of success.
