Mon gone: Tigers suffer massive blow with star mid a late out

RICHMOND has suffered a huge blow in its quest for a second win, losing best and fairest Monique Conti for Friday night's clash with North Melbourne.

Conti – who was best on ground in last week's breakthrough victory over Geelong – pulled up sore after the game and is a late withdrawal with a hamstring complaint.

She will be replaced in the selected 21 by forward Christina Bernardi, indicating skipper Katie Brennan may play more midfield time instead of basing herself closer to goal.

Bernardi kicked three goals for Richmond's VFLW affiliate Port Melbourne last week.

The Roos will go in as selected, with 28-year-old key forward Georgia Hammond making her debut.
