Zoe Prowse (pick 17, Sturt), Brooke Tonon (pick 20, Glenelg) Abbie Ballard (pick 34, West Adelaide)

Adelaide selected Zoe Prowse with its first selection. The NAB AFLW Academy product is nominally a ruck but can play a variety of positions. Mount Gambier product Brooke Tonon is a classy user of the footy who can play off the backline or on the wing, while Abbie Ballard is a ball magnet who has overcome a syndesmosis injury this year.

Maggie Harmer (pick 18, Maroochydore), Bella Smith (pick 35, Maroochydore), Mikayla Pauga (pick 46, Bond University), Luka Yoshida-Martin (pick 53, University of Qld), Lucinda Pullar (pick 58, Bond University)

Maggie Harmer is a clean kick out of defence who can cause some damage pushing up onto the wing, while teammate Bella Smith is another NAB AFLW Academy product who can cause some damage with her neat midfield skills. Small forward Mikayla Pauga is a dangerous prospect in front of goal, as can former soccer player Luka Yoshida-Martin. Final selection Lucinda Pullar is a strong runner who can play a variety of positions and has soccer experience with Brisbane Roar.

Annie Lee (pick 10, Geelong Falcons), Keeley Sherar (pick 11, Eastern Ranges), Brooke Vickers (pick 23, Oakleigh Chargers), Imogen Milford (pick 26, Casey Demons), pass (pick 39)

Steady defender Annie Lee should form a powerful partnership with the likes of Charlotte Wilson for years to come. Keeley Sherar is a strong ball-winner who can carry the ball at pace. The Blues added some class and strong disposal in the form of defender/mid Brooke Vickers, while Imogen Milford is an athletic key forward who can help support in the ruck.

Eliza James (pick 29, Oakleigh Chargers), Eloise Chasten (pick 32, Eastern Ranges), Imogen Barnett (pick 33, Collingwood VFLW)

The Pies had all their selections in one heap. Eliza James is a dangerous forward with strong athletic attributes who can push further up the ground, while Eloise Chasten is also a mid-sized half-forward who has a strong attack on the footy. Collingwood continued to flesh out its forward line, promoting key forward and leading VFLW goalkicker Imogen Barnett.

Amy Franklin (pick 14, Claremont), Dana East (pick 31, Swan Districts), Makaela Tuhakaraina (pick 38, South Fremantle), Airlie Runnalls (pick 44, North Melbourne VFLW), Jess Low (pick 52, Claremont), Sarah Wielstra (pick 57, Swan Districts)

The Dockers had a hefty draft haul, thanks in part to two inactive players. Amy Franklin is a high-class key position player, while U19 teammate Dana East is a sharp user of the footy through the midfield. Makaela Tuhakaraina may be small but she's got speed to burn. Airlie Runnalls is a strong outside midfielder who knows how to find the footy, while fellow mid Jess Low gets her shot on a primary AFLW list after being an injury replacement at West Coast. Finally, the Dockers selected ruck Sarah Wielstra, who can also have an impact up forward.

Georgie Prespakis (pick 2, Calder Cannons), Zali Friswell (pick 7, Calder Cannons), Gabby Featherston (pick 9, Geelong Falcons), Annabel Johnson (pick 15, Geelong VFLW)

The Cats went midfield heavy in the 2021 draft. Georgie Prespakis is one of the top young ball-winners going around and an outstanding clearance player, while Cannons teammate Zali Friswell is a versatile midfielder with excellent endurance. Gabby Featherston is a powerful (but somewhat undersized) key forward, while strong tackling midfielder Annabel Johnson has come from the clouds after taking up footy last year.

Charlie Rowbottom (pick 1, Oakleigh Chargers), Teagan Levi (pick 6, Bond University), Ashanti Bush (pick 8, Darwin), Giselle Davies (pick 30, Bond University)

The Suns had a strong draft haul, capped off by convincing powerful tall midfielder Charlie Rowbottom to make the move north. Teagan Levi has excellent agility and pace around the stoppages, while smooth mover Ashanti Bush can cause havoc in front of goal. Key defender and co-captain of the Suns Academy Giselle Davies caps off their selections.

Ally Morphett (pick 37, Murray Bushrangers), Jess Doyle (pick 49, Manly Warringah), Brodee Mowbray (pick 55, Southern Power), Georgina Fowler (pick 59, East Coast Eagles), Casidhe Simmons (pick 60, UNSW-ES Bulldogs), Erin Todd (pick 61, Inner West Magpies)

Ruck Ally Morphett looks set to slot straight into the vacant spot left by the inactive Jess Allan. The Giants focused heavily on their forward line, bringing in Jess Doyle, Georgina Fowler and the smaller Brodee Mowbray to boost their goalkicking capacity. Key defender Erin Todd has earned her way back onto the squad, while forward/winger Casidhe Simmons is a former heptathlete who has been a proven performer at state level.

Georgia Campbell (pick 41, Eastern Ranges), Tahlia Gillard (pick 42, Calder Cannons), Ali Brown (pick 45, Casey Demons)

The Dees had already locked up father-daughter prospect and key forward Georgia Campbell, and went taller again in 190cm ruck Tahlia Gillard. Rounding out Melbourne's relatively late selections was former Saint Ali Brown, who has been playing VFLW with Casey of late and impressed with her marking in defence.

Tess Craven (pick 13, Geelong Falcons), Tara Slender (pick 19, Bendigo Pioneers), Kim Rennie (pick 28, Western Bulldogs), Perri King (pick 43, Glenorchy/Tassie Devils), Jasmine Ferguson (pick 51, Collingwood VFLW), Ella Maurer (pick 56, Tassie Devils)

The Kangaroos will be thrilled quality inside midfielder Tess Craven slipped to them with pick 13, having been the Falcons' best in a strong season. Tara Slender is an aggressive lead-up forward who has good skills at ground level, while Western Bulldogs ruck Kim Rennie finally made her way to Arden Street after a failed trade. Two young Tassie midfielders in Perri King (no relation to the three other Kings on the list) and Ella Maurer were added, while Jasmine Ferguson has been a strong key back for Collingwood's VFLW side in its push to a Grand Final.

Stella Reid (pick 5, Oakleigh Chargers), Emelia Yassir (pick 16, Calder Cannons), Meagan Kiely (pick 48, North Melbourne VFLW), Ingrid Houtsma (pick 50, Geelong Falcons), Akec Makur Chuot (pick 54, Richmond AFLW)

Stella Reid is a high-quality user of the footy, capable of causing damage up forward and on the wing, while Emelia Yassir is another dangerous forward/mid prospect, who is a bit more of an inside player than the former. Meagan Kiely has been racking up the ball at will in the middle of the ground for North's VFLW side. Geelong Falcon Ingrid Houtsma is a tall winger who reads the play well. Richmond also relisted Akec Makur Chuot.

Ella Friend (pick 4, GWV Rebels), Ash Richards (pick 12, Dandenong Stingrays), pass (pick 36)

The Saints pulled a little surprise, taking Ella Friend with pick No.4. She's an excellent contested mark who is a strong link between the midfield and the forward line, but the Saints have earmarked a defensive role. Ash Richards rounds out the Saints' small haul, a tough prospect who can rotate between the middle and up forward.

Charlie Thomas (pick 3, Subiaco), Courtney Rowley (pick 21, Peel Thunder), Beth Schilling (pick 24, Peel Thunder), Sarah Lakay (pick 40, Swan Districts), Emily Bennett (pick 47, Claremont)

Charlie Thomas' near-season long wrist injury didn't put West Coast off, taking the classy forward/midfielder with the first selection in the WA pool. Courtney Rowley will add some zip to the midfield, while Beth Schilling is a versatile defender who can play as a key or a rebounder. Forward/ruck Sarah Lakay smashed the jumping records at the NAB AFLW Combine, while Emily Bennett is a really nice user of the footy out of defence.

Amanda Ling (pick 22, Oakleigh Chargers), Aurora Smith (pick 25, Murray Bushrangers), Elizabeth Snell (pick 27, Bendigo Pioneers)

The Bulldogs have added a quality inside midfielder in Amanda Ling, who was overlooked in last year's draft but named best afield in this year's NAB League Grand Final. Aurora Smith will add some serious pace on the wing, while Elizabeth Snell is an athletic mid-sized forward/mid who also gets her chance at 19.
